19th Century Empire Style Black Lacquered Desk

Empire desk in high-gloss black lacquer. It features three drawers and two side wings. The decoration includes original gilded bronze keyhole escutcheons, mounts, and handles with classic motifs.

The top is covered with beautiful, original embossed orange leather that provides a refined and practical writing surface. Notable features include the front legs, with caryatid busts at the top, palm leaves at mid-height, and claw feet at the base.
