Blue and Green Murano Glass Drop Sculpture

Made of navy blue, striking green, electric blue, and transparent Murano glass. The design of the piece is composed of several layers of glass that create the illusion of multiple drops in one.

The first and smallest drop is navy blue; the dark tone helps that first layer be the focus of the piece. The surrounding layers, one in bright green and another in Capri blue, are lighter but also more striking tones, so they contrast with the inner drop. The final layer is transparent glass, which creates the illusion of a floating drop or three drops trapped in one. The selection of colors, which are frequently found in bodies of water, also creates the feeling of a water droplet frozen in time.
