Set of 4 Ackermann’s Repository Fashion Prints (19th Century)

Set of four original 19th-century fashion plates from the prestigious British publication Ackermann’s Repository. The illustrations, created using intaglio engraving and hand-colored, document the evolution of women's attire.

The series includes three Evening Dress scenes, which stand out for the complexity of their silks, necklines, and ornaments, and one Walking Dress / Morning Dress, characterized by a more functional design, structural layers, and outdoor accessories. Individually framed with matting, they retain their original typography and dating.
