Spode Fine Porcelain Truncated Pyramidal Paperweight

This freestanding paperweight has been crafted in fine bone china by the renowned English manufactory Spode. It is distinguished by its elegant four-sided truncated pyramid shape, which evokes the classic lines of a truncated obelisk.

Its decoration is a marvel of enamelled detail: the sides display a beautiful geometric grid or lattice in a turquoise blue hue, interrupted on the main faces by refined rococo-style cartouches. Inside, they house delicate hand-painted floral bouquets in shades of magenta, carmine, and sage green. The entire perimeter, the edges, and the flat top surface are richly enhanced with intricate motifs and filigree in pure gold against a deep garnet background.
